Soroptimist of Newport proudly announces Hillary Adams as the recipient of the prestigious 2025 Soroptimist Live Your Dreams Award.

Hillary Adams, a 34-year-old single mother to a 12 year old beautiful girl, grew up in Stevens County, Washington were she started college through the Running Start program as a junior in high school.

Hillary shares, "Halfway through, I took a break from schooling, got married, and had my daughter. After my daughter's father left, I attempted to work toward my degree again. I struggled through two quarters and ultimately dropped out due to the hardships I faced as a single mother.

Determined to keep moving forward, when I turned 30, I returned to school and ultimately earned my Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies. I am now working toward my Bachelor's degree in Business Management. My passion lies in making legal resources more accessible, and my goal is to open a workshop funded by grants to help people representing themselves in court who can't afford legal representation.

Balancing motherhood, education, and my ambitions hasn't been easy, but I believe in perseverance and finding ways to create meaningful change. I'm excited to keep learning, growing, and working toward a future where everyone has the support they need to navigate the legal system."

Congratulations Hillary!
